LOCAL SALES MANAGER

WDHA/WMTR – Cedar Knolls, NJ

Greater Media’s heritage North Jersey properties WDHA – 105.5 The Rock of New Jersey & WMTR - 1250AM Classic Oldies (minutes from NYC) are looking for a motivated, organized, outgoing & creative Local Sales Manager. 

Qualifications Include:
 

• 3-5 years radio sales experience
• A passion to work in radio and to be financially rewarded
• Excellent writing skills and computer skills
•  

Responsibilities

All tasks pertaining to the development of Sales Staff, new business and the maintenance of existing business for WMTR and WDHA, inclusive of, but not exclusive to:

• In conjunction with the GSM, develop and drive local and individual AE sales plans to achieve monthly and quarterly goals.
• Sustain organizational sales goals and objectives: recruit, hire & train local sales team; monitor, evaluate and provide on-going feedback regarding performance to account executives.
• Increase sales volume through direct-sales efforts and by assisting account executives in the field.
• Identify sales training needs and assist GSM in the development and implementation of sales training programs.
• Assist GSM by establishing account list, team and individual quotas and goals.
• Coordinate liaison between Sales Team, GSM & Traffic, NTR, IT, Billing and Production Departments in working toward common goals.
• Assist GSM in establishing and implementing sales policy and procedure.
• Assist GSM in developing sales compensation incentives that motivate and reward account executives to achieve individual and team goals and objectives.

Looking for outgoing, aggressive, creative, self-starters with media sales experience for immediate opening(s) at New Jersey’s Own Rock Radio, 105.5, WDHA and Classic Oldies, WMTR 1170 & 1250am.

Responsibilities:

All tasks pertaining to the development of new business and the maintenance of existing business for WMTR and WDHA, inclusive of, but not exclusive to:

· Prospecting for new business

· Maintaining and growing existing accounts

· Coming up with creative solutions for prospect/client’s marketing needs

· Collections

Requirements

· A passion to work in radio and make a lot of money

· Media sales experience

· Excellent writing skills and computer skills

· Valid US drivers’ license

· Northern NJ residents preferred
