Teachers Who Rock

What is the Educational Support Professionals (ESP) Award program?

Educational Support Professionals (ESP) take care of our children every day and make sure they have the tools and resources to succeed in our schools and classrooms.  ESP’s are active members in our educational system and should receive the recognition they deserve.  In addition to our successful teachers’ awards program, WDHA-FM and WMTR-AM will recognize 1 outstanding ESP to receive this award.

Who is eligible?

Nominated educational support professionals would include paraprofessionals, secretaries, bus drivers, food service workers, custodial/maintenance workers, and security personnel.

How can an ESP be considered for an award?

In order to be considered for an ESP Award, a support professional must first be nominated by a superintendent, principal, co-worker, or parent.  A support professional may not nominate himself or herself.  The nominating committee will not accept nominations from students.  Nominations may be submitted on the WDHA website, via mail or fax. The nomination period will be from November 15, 2010 through March 4, 2011.

WDHA-FM and WMTR-AM will select 1 ESP from the final nominations we receive.

We will announce the ESP winner at 9:15am on the WDHA-FM Morning Show and at 9:20am on the    WMTR-AM Morning Show on Friday, March 4, 2011.

How is this program promoted? We will promote the ESP award program on our airwaves, website, in local newspapers, within press releases, posters, direct mail and a series of email blasts to our loyal listener base.
